I have the honor to report that a proposal has
been made by His Excellency the Governor of this Colony:
(a) that the War Department should allow the hill
known as Mount Cochrane, to be cut down to a given level,
by the Public Works Department, in order to provide
material for the reclamation of the foreshore in the
vicinity; and
(b) that the War Department boundary should be so
altered as shewn on attached tracing.
The conditions agreed on between myself and His
Excellency, subject to your approval, are as follows :-
